Abbiamo il piacere di annunciare che Nuova Barberia Carloni ha vinto al Festival Avignon OFF 2026 il Premio Speciale della Giuria nell’ambito del Prix Lueur, giunto alla sua seconda edizione, promosso dalla Ass. Française des Échanges Théâtraux Euro-Asiatique, che riunisce una giuria internazionale composta da professionisti dello spettacolo dal vivo provenienti da Francia, Cina, Corea del Sud, Italia e UK. 

“Le Prix Lueur a pour ambition de mettre en avant des spectacles accessibles à un public non-francophone et d’encourager la compréhension interculturelle. Le nom du prix évoque ainsi “une lueur d’espoir”, celle que les arts du spectacle offrent comme pont entre des cultures et des peuples différents.”

La giuria ha dichiarato:
“To reach the heart and imagination of an audience, one must be simple. But simplicity is no easy feat in the art of the theater. It demands absolute precision, long experience, and—without question—tremendous talent. Nuova Barberia Carloni meets all three of these demands and achieves what few shows manage to pull off simultaneously: it sparks the imagination, brings delight, and inspires a touch of anxiety regarding the risks taken by the performers. The jury chose to honor a project built around three barbers, but above all, three actors, mimes, and clowns of incredible ability. Theater—written with a capital T—here expresses its gratitude to Teatro Necessario: to a theater that is necessary. Truly necessary.”

Three clowns reopen an old-fashioned barbershop, determined to restore it to its former glory—back to the days when the barber sang, played music, served drinks, entertained customers... and, of course, cut hair and shaved beards!

These three apprentice barbers—part acrobats, part musicians, and true artists of hair—will sweep you away in a joyful, feel-good experience. You'll leave feeling refreshed in body, mind... and with your hair looking great too!
